Mucky Pups opened in July 2020 by Emma – a brave decision considering we were in the middle of a global pandemic! Our amazing customers supported us through the first couple of months and we grew bigger and better!
We love seeing all your pets come through the door, even if its just for a chat. We pride ourselves on being a professional friendly service and will help anyone with free advise and recommendations.
In November 2020 we were granted permission from iPET Network to start offering their amazing new qualifications and we are so pleased to say we have successfully supported a number of students through their studies.
Emma Betteridge LCGI
Hi, I’m Emma, the owner and founder of Mucky Pups! I have been in the pet care industry for over 12 years, previously a veterinary care assistant. I hold a Level 2 & Level 3 City and Guilds Diploma in Dog Grooming, as well as various other certificates in education, dog handling, bite prevention and canine first aid. I am the head tutor here at Mucky Pups, and hold my AET, PTLLS & Level 4 City and Guilds Licentiateship. My favourite breed to groom has to be the Shih Tzu!
Amie Mole
Amie has joined the salon in March 2021. She holds the iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming & Salon Management. She keeps the salon running and is always keeping up with our salons high standards. She is such an animal lover, with a variety of dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks, hamsters and even a tortoise at home! Amie is also a tutor here at Mucky Pups, holding her Award in Education and Training. Her favourite dogs to groom are Cockapoo’s
Hannah Strong
Hannah joined Mucky Pups part time in November 2024, and now is a full time member of the team! Hannah has completed her Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management, and also wants to become a tutor in the training academy in the future. Hannah has become a friendly face in the salon with customers and dogs and has a beautiful positive and patient approach with some of our more nervous dogs. Hannah has a Shihtzu at home called Reggie
Theodore
Theodore joined the team shortly after March 2022, you may see him in the salon on Tuesdays & Wednesdays. He is friendly face for our regulars and loves all the doggies that he can see (from his secure baby pen). Let me just warn you that some dogs may go home with a sausage thrown their way – if there quick!
